On this episode of The King’s Code, my special guest is James Harris, founder of High Impact Analytics. James built a company approaching eight figures, but behind that success were burnout, two near-death experiences, health struggles, and a separation that pushed him into one of the darkest periods of his life. Yet even when he lost hope personally, his business remained profitable because he had built a team capable of leading when he couldn’t. James and I discuss how to scale without becoming the bottleneck, why entrepreneurs need to think about their exit before they’re ready to sell, how to find the gift in painful seasons, and why building a successful business means very little if there’s no purpose behind it.

On this episode of The King’s Code, my special guest is Jarek Tadla. Jarek lived the American dream. He came to this country from Poland as a child, and worked his way up from a busboy to an entrepreneur and investor. But the same drive that took him to the top also took him to rock bottom. He had it all, but felt like he was nothing, and that's what happens when you have outer wealth without inner wealth. Jarek and I discuss how faith and purpose can sustain you in ways that vast wealth can not, and learn why he had to lose to know how to win.

In this episode, I discuss the concept of "the drift" and how it holds us back from reaching our full potential. I explain that the drift is a state of mind characterized by fear and a lack of direction. I identify seven fears that keep us in a drift, including the fear of poverty, illness, not being loved, getting old, death, criticism, and disappointing others. I emphasize the importance of self-awareness and making a conscious decision to overcome these fears in order to take charge of my life. I provide practical strategies for changing my relationship with fear and using it as fuel for growth and innovation. I also share three questions to help listeners learn from their own experiences of drifting and break free from negative patterns.

Most men find themselves drifting through life, a concept profoundly explored in Napoleon Hill's "outwitting the devil audiobook." This book illuminates the critical importance of finding your true purpose and avoiding the pitfalls of a life without clear direction. Understanding this "drift" is a powerful form of self help, offering a new perspective on the meaning of life and personal growth. It's about sharpening your EDGE and deciding how you’ll be remembered, focusing on legacy rather than just chasing significance.

This episode is a first! And a last! My special guest today is my son, Alejandro Villacis, and it’s his first appearance on the King’s Code Podcast. In the past, he has been my guest on my other podcasts, and I’ve been a guest on his podcasts, but this is the first time he’s been a guest on this feed. It’s also his last appearance before going to college.
I have had the privilege of being there to guide him for 18 years, and in that time he’s been my greatest teacher. I’ve watched him grow, and I’ve watched him shrink his waistline. This episode is our way of saying goodbye in the best way we can.
On this episode of the King’s Code Podcast, both Alejandro and I share the biggest lessons we’ve learned from each other, and he shares some of his hopes for the coming years.

On this episode of the King’s Code Podcast, my special guest is Jeff Brawley. Jeff had a hardscrabble upbringing as the son of a farmer. He started working for minimum wage at the farm in high school to afford to buy clothing that was trendy at the time to fit in. When he started his business, he had the problem of growing at a rate that was too fast for him to keep up with work but not fast enough for him to afford to hire more employees. When he started the EDGE Program, he was able to break through some of his limited beliefs and cut people out of his life who drained his energy, which freed him up to expand his business more. By breaking through the scarcity mindset and instead tapping into the abundance mindset, he was able to see opportunities for growth.
